This is a quick little read with nicely drawn characters and atmosphere.
It takes place over one shift of a soon-to-close Red Lobster during a
blizzard. You can feel the sticky tables and picture the worn carpet and
tired nautical/holiday decorations as the crew navigates that special
brand of micro-soap opera drama that only occurs in the workplace.
Besides the human element, there's a great attention to detail in terms
of what goes on behind the scenes and all the chain restaurant minutia
that Manny, the oddly dedicated manager/hero, deals with on a daily
basis, which I also enjoyed quite a lot.
